The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced that it is investigating Voyager Digital, whose business includes cryptocurrency lending, as it has filed for bankruptcy. The announcement of the investigation came as part of a lawsuit filed with the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, and that it had previously claimed control notes about digital currencies.
This Binance plan came after FTX's plan to buy the assets of the bankrupt Voyager, which failed due to the bankruptcy and collapse of the FTX platform as well, after which Voyager reopened the bidding on its assets, which were eventually won by Binance US.
It is noteworthy that Voyager filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code, and said at the time that it was seeking to implement a reorganization plan and "achieve the maximum possible value for its depositors."
