The modern world with its advanced technologies has brought about changes in the financial habits of women, with many taking on challenging tasks and investing in cryptocurrencies despite the volatile and unpredictable nature of the market. According to a WazirX survey, female investors held more virtual digital assets than male investors, with the trading volume in crypto assets rising from 15.27% in 2021 to 18.57% in 2022. The survey also revealed that the highest number of signups among females came from the age group of 25-35, and the most popular cryptocurrencies were Bitcoin and Tether. Financial independence was cited as the major reason for investing in cryptocurrencies, with 45% of women aged 45-60 investing for this purpose. Many respondents were influenced by their partners or news articles and social media, and those in certain regions had invested in crypto after conducting sufficient research.
