Once again, Whale Alert has notified users of a routine withdrawal of XRP coins from one of Ripple's escrow addresses. Ripple Labs, a San Francisco-based crypto giant, withdraws one billion of these coins on the first of every month, a practice they have carried out for 62 months. The latest escrow fund release saw billions of tokens being released, with four transactions, each carrying various amounts of XRP. Overall, Ripple released 1 billion XRP tokens, valued at around $378 million. Currently, there are close to 51 billion XRP coins on the market, with 51% of the overall supply made up of this. Whale interest in Ripple's native cryptocurrency has increased ahead of the summary judgment in the XRP lawsuit. The top 100 whale wallets own over $26.8 million worth of XRP, with 2.36% of their holdings represented by this. In addition, a whale transferred over 41 million XRP to Bitstamp to sell its investment. The XRP price has remained unchanged over the past few weeks due to the anticipation of summary judgment in the XRP lawsuit. However, if the US district court decides in favor of Ripple, it is expected to have a significant impact on the XRP price, which has seen a decent rise of about 1% during the last day.
