The Cardano blockchain has introduced a new node version, v.1.35.6, featuring Dynamic peer-to-peer (P2P) networking. This update is intended to enhance network stability, uptime, and resilience, allowing the network to continue operating effectively even in the face of faults or disruptions. There are two types of Cardano nodes: block-producing nodes, responsible for producing blocks on the blockchain, and relay nodes, which communicate with other relays and broadcast blocks from block-producing nodes.

With Dynamic P2P, each connection can be bidirectional, streamlining communication and making the network more resilient to failures or malicious activity. While the update is already available on Cardano's main network, it will be tested by IOG and the Cardano Foundation in the coming weeks to ensure a successful rollout.
