The first batch of Starbucks Odyssey's paid-for NFTs, dubbed "digital stamps," were released on Thursday and quickly sold out.

What took place: Customers can participate in activities like quizzes and in-store purchases to earn Stamps through the invitation-only Starbucks NFT program. After then, these Stamps can be accumulated and even sold again on the cryptocurrency trading website Nifty Gateway.

A replica of Starbucks' Siren is included in the 2,000-item "Siren Collection," with each stamp costing $100.

Odyssey claims that it offered customers "immersive coffee experiences" through taking part in games, quizzes and making purchases. But no mention is made of the eagerly expected free coffee.

With the emphasis on the ability to buy Stamps using just a credit card, Starbucks launched its Odyssey program on the Polygon (CRYPTO: MATIC) blockchain with the goal of making the experience approachable for non-crypto natives.
