Flare, a blockchain platform and Ripple partner, has gained popularity since its launch earlier this year, due to its focus on interoperability. Its blockchain allows developers to create applications that can be used across different blockchain ecosystems and internet platforms. Recently, Flare introduced Sparkles, a non-fungible token (NFT) platform, on its layer-1 Oracle network. Sparkles aims to increase NFT utility by incorporating interoperability of native Flare protocols and addressing issues related to intellectual property rights. Since its launch on Flare's canary network Songbird, Sparkles has handled 90% of NFT sales, worth $3.5 million, and hosts 3,200 NFT collections. Flare's CEO highlighted the platform's ability to provide secure, decentralized data on-chain to unlock new use cases for legacy tokens. Interoperability will be a significant theme for the blockchain space in 2023, and Flare has been working on this through its interoperability protocols.
