During the last 48 hours, YFI, the native token of Yearn Finance, a decentralized finance protocol, has seen a 22.61% increase in value against its bitcoin trading pair, despite bearish market conditions. This increase can be attributed to the upcoming roll-out of liquid staking derivatives (LSD), which YFI traders are eager to capitalize on. Liquid staking derivatives offer investors exposure to an underlying asset while receiving staking rewards as a part of Ethereum's proof-of-stake network. YFI has also seen an 18.87% surge against tether (USDT). Yearn Finance has promoted the benefits of LSDs on Twitter, stating that they provide investors with boosted yields and a way to spread risk. Currently, YFI is trading at $10,770 with a 24-hour trading volume exceeding $252 million across all exchanges. In contrast, bitcoin and ether (ETH) have dropped 4.44% and 4.58%, respectively, due to concerns over the financial stability of crypto bank Silvergate.
