Aavegotchi, a protocol for non-fungible tokens in gaming, is collaborating with Polygon to launch a blockchain designed specifically for gamers, which they are calling Gotchichain. This blockchain will use Polygon's "supernet" to create a customized system that can be widely adopted by gamers. Although Aavegotchi is already available on the Polygon platform, the creation of a supernet will result in faster transaction times and lower gas fees for players, as explained in a blog post. All transactions on Gotchichain will require Aavegotchi's governance token GHST to be used as the gas token.

Following the announcement, GHST experienced a brief 5% increase, but at the time of publication, it had fallen over 10% in the previous 24 hours. Another crypto gaming initiative also declared on Wednesday that it would be working with Polygon supernets, indicating that Polygon is making a significant investment in gaming technology.
